You don't reinforce the behavior by giving it the attention it wants. Trump is merely being exposed to the same lesson Joffrey learned. A leader is not entitled to respect. A leader is not entitled to loyalty. A leader isn't appointed. It is not a blank check to act as you will. A leader acts in a manner befit a leader, and that is what makes them one. Without the matching behavior, you're just a pretender. While you raise a good point, a very good one, I am not sure after 4 or 8 years they will go like "whew! let's resume ^_^ ". There's a certain mystique to being the sole superpower, to being POTUS and to being the world police.
