In 4-8 years, everyone will be like, "phew, now let's pick up where we left off." In fact, the world stage is actually taking the right action here. When a toddler acts out, you don't indulge them. You don't reinforce the behavior by giving it the attention it wants. Trump is merely being exposed to the same lesson Joffrey learned. A leader is not entitled to respect. A leader is not entitled to loyalty. A leader isn't appointed. It is not a blank check to act as you will. A leader acts in a manner befit a leader, and that is what makes them one.
