Sex is extremely important for establishing intimacy. It's how you bond with your partner on a hormonal level.

Yeah there you go boy. That's the problem. Everyone expects sex two weeks into a relationship. It's all about pleasing your hormonal urges you can't control rather than an actual relationship. Dating with the providence of sex sucks the rawness out of relationships. You don't talk to them just for the fun of learning about them. You talk to them with the alterior motive of getting laid
You obviously don't know how it works.
Some relationships are more superficial, some are deeper. Sex does not cheapen these deeper relationships. In fact it strengthens them.
