I think anyone from ToS (except Colette) would have been able to beat Flynn and Patty, simple because the vast majority of Vesperia players never actually played the PS3 version. Regal is one of the best ToS characters, I really liked him. Lloyd and especially Colette were just awful, though. I didn't hate Lloyd or Colette, but I didn't like them as much as most of the rest of the cast, exception being Genis.
