He was this vile piece of shit the first two seasons that I wanted to see die painfully, but then he slowly became more of an "enemy of my enemy" anti-hero on his journey with Brienne, and by the time the journey was done I found myself rooting for him and understanding his perspective on everything and hoping that he somehow ends up redeemed with a new lease on life.
What are other good examples of this?
He's not redeemed in my mind unless he turns on Cersei. He's shown himself to be slightly less of a dick but not enough yet.
