18 y/o Cheerleader, Allyson Talbott is FURIOUS that she's denied the honour of valedictorian at her graduation ceremony because of a clerical error that's out of her control!!

She was named salutatorian in March at Rogers High School after administrators tabulated grades for graduation honours..

She says she's fine coming in second in her class but then had second thoughts after her professor at Temple College where she's taking advanced classes started posting grades online last week

She recalculated her gpa and found out they calculated her at 92% instead of 97.5% which would put her right at the top of her class!!

The aspiring nurse contacted Temple to rectify the situation after submitting "evidence" andan apology letter from the school..but her high school refuses to change her class standing.

Now Allyson took her to FB and said "I just want everyone to know that i rightfully deserve the title as Valedictorian at graduation but Rogers High School is refusing to recalculate my CORRECT grade in. This is utterly wrong and disrespectful. I earned a 5 POINT HIGHER GRADE and the school reported it at 92 which caused me to be #2 by such a small margin. I was fine with being #2 but after realizing my grade was calculated incorrectly and the school is refusing to recalculate it i am BEYOND MAD"

Allyson said when she barged into the office demanding a fix, the rules state that class standings were based off grades on March 10th and that her grades were lower on March 10 but that it was Temple's fault for that mistake.

Allyson went to news stations and vented her anger when the school said they did the right thing and wouldn't change the standings as they consulted their ATTORNEY to follow board policy in naming valedictorian and salutatorian for the graduation ceremony based on the information available to them.

While she won't get to walk as valedictorian, nor will she speak to her class, she may get the title as the school recalculate standings at the end of the year as Allyson says her BEEF is NOT with the valedictorian, but with the school and said "This whole ordeal is not about class rank. It is about the school doing the right thing. They have constantly been going behind our backs and being hypocritical. Do the right thing, be hones, that's what we've learned all 4 years in high school and i just wish the school would own up to the things they tell us to do"

Allyson is going to FIGHT her rightful place up until May 25 as she took her issue to the school board to hold an EMERGENCY MEETING.

A former student who didn't want to be identified said it happened to her too if students were taking courses at Temple, they would get extra weight added to their grades for passing with B or above, which she did. The same applie to students who took AP classes and sat for the AP exam which is optional. The valedictorian and salutatorian from her year took AP classes but not the exam as the 2 got extra weight added to her grade anyway. The 2 people ranked barely above her which they should not have been as the school did not fix her issue. She lost out on potential SCHOLARSHIPS because she didn't get that honour..

Allyson is going to Baylor University in September where she'll study nursing.
