Topic	Has stellaris improved considerably since it launched last year?

What does utopia add that you dont get in the free patch? The only thing I know about is ascension perks, which seem cool, but Im worried that by late game you will just have picked them all making them slightly redundant. Also the megastructures seem alright i guess. Is that all you get from the expansion really?
