DKC games aged pretty damn well What you have both said is true Yoshi's Island takes this by a mile though. It's insane how good it looked back then and still today DKC has aged very well, but DESPITE its prerendered graphics, not because of them. They had the artistic skill to use all those crazy futuristic effects really well and appropriately, unlike other games trying to do the cutting edge. But there's just a lot they couldn't get around with, being prerendered. Repetition and angle alignment issues and such. Yoshi's Island has none of that.
