I wonder how Sonic Team developers feel when they play 3D Mario games. Their focuses are completely different. I don't get how they look at the reception and success of those and decide to double down on everything that the Mario games don't. Let's add bullshit voice acting, gimmicks like being a werewolf and a new Sonic friend to play as! Good grief.

Sonic Colors and Generations looked like they finally had the right idea. And then they go right back into doing everything wrong again.

Now their tactic seems to be "Remember Green Hill Zone?! Play it again! Now with some extra bullshit and physics that are no where near as good as games that came out two decades ago!"
