| Southernfatman 05/11/17 9:24:29 AM #4: | Mistakes aside, A lot of founding fathers owned slaves, and that is awful, but at least they didn't do the whole revolution thing and founded a country just to own slaves. Tons of southerners are ignorant over the civil war and have been subjected to BS apologist propaganda that downplayed and the confederacy's faults and created a narrative that the Confederates were the underdog rebels who were fighting the evil tyrannical yankee north who hate southern values, customs, and people. Plus, a lot of conservative people defend it just to "stick it" to liberals. Trolling has become a part of that ideology.
