I arbitraily gave Skyward Sword a value of 26, which means it barely beats Chrono Cross and barely loses to Diablo 2 and The Last of Us. I don't think that game was well-received here.

Ignoring MK and GoW. Those are essentially non-factors.

2006 - 91.457

By all rights, 2006 should have clobbered 2011 even without KH2. So what happened? Well, let's take a look at the rotation of the pics:

1 - Skyward Sword vs. Okami. I don't think Skyward Sword is strong here but starting off with ZELDA in all caps is a pretty nice advantange.
2 - Skyrim vs. Oblivion. This one is brutal. Oblivion is strong on its own but Skyrim makes it entirely irrelevant. I think this is the major contributing factor.
3 - Dark Souls vs. Gears of War. Dark Souls isn't very popular here, but everyone knows it's a modern classic and it's versus a genre that GameFAQs loathes.
4 - Mortal Kombat vs. Twilight Princess. Finally an advantage for 2006, but by then the damage is probably done.

When you combine that with the lack of Kingdom Hearts II, and it definitely appears that the fix was in for 2011.
