I had this discussion with my boss.

I was complaining because I'm thin and it's tough for me to eat alot and gain weight.

He (a big dude) laughed at me, saying it's so much easier to gajn.

My argument is simple, to lose weight, you literally don't have to do anything. It takes zero effort to NOT eat a shit ton.

However, to gain, you constantly got to make an effort. Cook the food, order the food, spend money, eat, eat, eat. All these things require constant effort. How is this easier than to simply do nothing?

I'm stuck at 160, at 6'1. Constantly hearing how thin I am. I even resorted to taking high end "supplements" to get bigger (yes, men can have body issues).

So if you're a big dude, and hate it, know that some people envy you. It's not all bad.

For many people, not eating takes a lot of mental effort and that can be harder to control than the effort needed to prepare and eat the food.
