Strengthening the TPP hurts American workers over time and adds money to the pockets of corporations. It hurts long term infrastructure, but the decision was a win-win for Obama because its short-term benefits yielded praise for himself, only for it to collapse eventually and lets republicans take the fall. John Boner, the idiot house speaker republicans had at the time, fell for it as well.
