This isn't directed at anyone in particular, this thread just made me think of it for some reason.

I know so many people around my age that talk about how hard they have it and are always down to their last dollar before the next paycheck drops. Nothing in savings, no hope for their future.

And each time a paycheck drops, they rush off to a restaurant and pay $30+ for a single meal, fill their gas tank, stock up on 24 cases of soda, buy a new video game, order shit on Amazon, they just go into this spending frenzy. It's insane. Then, of course, their bills have to come out. Rent and utilities, etc.

Then they're shit broke a week later "Man, I don't know where all my money went..."

Into your stomach, dumbass. You ate your money.

Proper budgeting and a willingness to actually prepare your own meals saves tons of cash in the long run. You can get better and healthier servings on the dollar compared to what you get at a restaurant or especially a fast-food establishment.

I know where my money goes, I just wish I had more.
