TopicNorth Korea warns that thermonuclear war can break out any second!

There are some pretty important facts being missed here;
- North Korea has been saber-rattling since the Korean War. They are trying to scare people into attacking them first because they are reliant on their defense treaty with China. I'm fairly certain even China is getting annoyed of this, however, as their only real vested interest is not having an American ally on their border.
- North Korea's army numbers are grossly inflated. They are not only counting untrained women and children, but they are also woefully underequipped. They lack the basic resources to carry on anything but a guerilla war. Even their planes are WWII era and embarrassingly outclassed by pretty much ever other nation. They also have no way to transport troops.
- Even if they have nuclear weapons, they have absolutely no delivery system. The last rocket they attempted to launch exploded immediately after launch. Unless they strap the bomb to a raft and row it across the Pacific while we give them a month long head start, they are zero threat to us or anyone not on our immediate border.
- The danger is more economic to us. If they attacked South Korea or Japan, the economic fallout would suck, but the retaliation would likely be swift and absolute. However, certain irresponsible media outlets have been ignoring these facts and instead selling this fear-mongering dreck. Yes, they are a threat to their neighbors and yes, they may well irresponsibly use nuclear weapons to the detriment of the world economy. However, would take a series of catastrophically stupid moves to start WWIII and any conflict will be on the scale of Iraq or Afghanistan; a violent, but distant war where guerilla forces face off with better equipped and tactically superior forces back by various powerful nations who can only work out their differences by backing feuding factions.
