Remember how I talked about college being no fun without meeting new people? Well around the time I started hanging out with A and J, I had made the decision to up my game. A decision to meet as many new people (women) as possible. I started watching those youtubers who go out and get chicks numbers and took notes and copied them all around campus. And I was pretty good at it. It's sort of insane what you can say to a woman if you're having fun and being confident. Also you'd be surprised how many chicks who were actually in relationships still gave me their number.

I started hooking up with a few chicks whose numbers I had gotten. It was fun for awhile, but nothing serious ever came out of it. I know now these were empty interactions, but this was who I was experimenting with being during this time.

One day I was sitting the common area at the bottom of my dorm, waiting for a friend to show up so we could go do whatever and hang out. Nothing special was going on, but as I was sitting there, a girl walked up to me. She sat next to me and said "Hey! Mind if I sit here?" "No, of course not!" I said. We started talking a bit. Her dad was apparently a software engineer at some company. That was cool, I just started my major in Computer Science. Suddenly she stopped, and said "Hey... can I show you something on my phone?" with a furtive glance towards me and around the room. "Sure! why not?". She got out her phone and swiped around a bit, and then held it up to my face.

"I like your hair. Do you want to have sex?"

It was a picture with those words on it. Looked like it came from Tumblr or something similar. A rush of adrenaline came over me and my pickup techniques went into high gear. "You mean right now??" "Yeah" she said. "I think you're cute..". "I'm sort of waiting for someone right now haha.." I said, looking around to see if they were coming. "Oh don't worry, I'm sure they won't mind too much if you're a little late...follow me!"

She got up and walked towards the other side of the dorm. I thought we were heading to the elevators, but then she took a sharp right. We were going to the bathroom that was down here. "I'll go in first. Wait a few minutes and then knock"

So I did.

It got hot and heavy real quick. I don't think my heart has ever pumped as fast. We started making out and I put her on top of the sink after we had removed our clothes. "Wow, are you serious??" "Yeah" I said.

And them my mom called my phone.

Instant mood killer. I made an excuse and just left after that. "Sorry haha, this was sort of weird anyway " I said. I went to go meet my friend (who was still late anyway lol). But that was far from the last time I'd see her. What I didn't know was that she actually lived in the same dorm as me, on the same floor as me. On the same hall. Just on the other side.

I was walking down to the cafeteria again one day and we bumped into each other on the stairwell. This time she had another dude with her. "Oh. Hey!" She said. "Oh HEY!" I said back. The blood was racing again. "Sorry about before..." she said. "I've been thinking and I was wondering if you wanted to try again..?". Who was I to turn that down? "Hahaha. I mean ok." The guy looked interested, confused, but chill. We swapped numbers.

She texted me later that night. And that was the start of my first FWB relationship. I'll refer to her as V from now on. And it might not seem like it yet, but she's a big part of this story.

This one actually warrants a second (maybe third too depending..) post to fill out the story. I won't post it immediately. As always, I'll share it when we get to the next page.
