I personally don't care about the race of the kids. I always side with reason and common sense, which 99.9% of the time (including this case) is the side of the police.

I'm sure you tell yourself that you're not a bad person because you're just trolling for laughs, but the fact that you think this sort of thing is funny, means you're a bad person.

I've been stopped by the cops before when I've done nothing wrong and it's not the end of the world. I've told this story before here. For my highschool graduation, a friend's dad let us take his Porsche out. A cop pulled us over because he saw some teenagers driving around in a very expensive car and it looked suspicious to him. He pulled us over, talked to us for a few minutes, verified our story and then sent us on our way. None of our parents or anyone else started crying police abuse and making it into a big deal.

That's a hell of a lot tamer than the situation described in this topic though. Can you imagine walking down a sidewalk and suddenly police officers are screaming at you get on the ground with their guns out? My first reaction would be like "wait wtf, are they talking to ME?"

If it was a uniformed police officer it wouldn't be a big deal at all. They're not going pull the trigger unless you're posing an actual danger to someone. If you're a law abiding citizen and you don't try to attack the cop, then his pistol may as well be a water pistol because neither one will cause any harm to you.
