based on my lengthy exposure of one entire weekend in these topics I wouldn't say I feel this way at all. ignore him? they treat the guy like fucking voldemort, honestly. oh my god don't say his name don't respond to him why are we responding to him!!!! over and over and over again desperately pleading for no one to acknowledge the ulti because allowing him to speak is dangerous I guess. it's honestly really sad from an outsider perspective.

having been in these topics from the start, it's equally confusing to me.
this doesn't even rank in the top ulti moments in the topic series by the way. there was a split timeline moment where multiple topics were made and there was the Ulti topic and the other one. that met with reconciliation with the fact that if it's containment then it needs to contain him as well, otherwise it's not doing its job. this back and forth of hating Ulti, ignoring him, responding to him, and him playing his part to further it (the idea of new alts being made to get around those ignoring seems pretty legit) as they keep going through this love-to-hate sequence is... a thing.

personally, if i don't value what somebody regularly says then i just... don't usually respond. others will, let them have their conversation, reach the same conclusion, and keep doing it. sometimes something of value will go through, often it won't, that's fine.

<_< but i've seen a topic and a half get full because people were arguing with MWC to no end, so i've given up on that logic ever working. it's a topic series full of masochism, yes. it's even been stopped twice because of that, i think. then came back because if there's no containment topic it spreads on the rest of the board.
