Future Quest which has Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, Herculoids, Birdman, and other action franchises mixed together. Wacky Raceland which puts the Wacky Races teams in a Mad Max setting. Scooby Doo Apocalypse where, you guessed it, the apocalypse happened and there's weird sci-fi stuff going on. and i was like where's the new take?

Considering Snagglepuss has chased the occasional skirt in the original cartoons, probably the "gay" part.

That being said, at a time when gay people were still forced to hide themselves from society, they latched onto every euphemistic representation they could find because they couldn't produce representation nor would any representation be granted onto them.
