France has lived under a state of emergency since 2015 and has suffered a spate of Islamist militant attacks that have killed more than 230 people in the past two years.

To put this into perspective, in 2015 there were some 400 deaths in America because of mass shootings. But America has a population that is around five times larger than France's population.
So in other words, you're about as likely to die from a terrorist attack in France as you are to die from a mass shooting in America.
Oh but meingott the US is the only place this keeps happening though. Europe is a fantasy land where violence doesn't exist and all the Muslim refugees integrated perfectly into society with no problems whatsoever. Furthermore, you are racist for suggesting there may be a problem with the level of terrorist attacks in France.
Don't think anyone has said any of this. There are ways to discuss the refugee crisis and Europe's problem with assimilation without attacking each and every nonviolent Muslim.
