There's a moral of "You can't change the past, you can only work on the present/future" but yet when Simba gets back everyone treats him like shit and judges him (including himself) until he realizes that Scar killed Mufasa. So according to the logic of the Lion King, if Scar had not killed Mufasa, and Mufasa had just died due to bad luck as a response to saving Simba, then Simba would to blame and deserve to be shunned.
