I'm new to the gay community and encounter a lot of people who harbor a lot of resentment. I understand it entirely but I also realize vitriol is not the way. Rubbed some folks the wrong way (hey now) by not being on the "cis scum" hatewagon but I stand by it. There are limits and I have no problem speaking my mind and standing up if need be but I don't like that "confrontational over every little thing by default" mindset some people have. At the end of the day we all have to co-exist and shaming (both ways) is a bit of a hindrance IMO.

That said, as a formerly straight, (half) white male, (and I'm speaking generally here, not picking at you TC) I think a little introspection on what kind of asset one is to the LGBT community is really needed. It's totally wrong to hate on all of a certain people but it's also not enough to simply not be a bigot anymore. "I'm not a bigot" is like the high school diploma of decency. You'll not get very far with it these days.

And that is not to say that one should agree with everything and if you have your moral/religious qualms about something, at least think about how you express that, how you relate to your fellow man, and what you want/expect in return.
