is right because of the way map projections are made? yet we can look at the photos ourselves...and we don't see that...

So when you take a photo of a three-dimensional object, it's not a projection onto a two-dimensional surface?

I'm saying you should look into map projections to understand why continents sometimes seem bigger or smaller in different pictures.
