Bumble doubles as a friend finding app. A lot of women use it for that purpose, which is actually how I met my ex because she briefly ventured onto the dating side. Far fewer men, but they're on there.

It's fairly awkward for that purpose for aforementioned reasons, but most people would feel awkward meeting a stranger if they didn't know what they looked like.

But we had similar interests and goals and attitudes towards life, so it was kind of a cool way to meet someone you gel with on purpose rather than happenstance. It weirdly feels like a date, though, when you actually meet up
