It's simply to fool you into thinking it's cheaper than it really is While true....for a big name store like wal mart, target, etc....they aren't going to print different signs for hundreds of counties across the nation to accommodate the sales tax there...The item costs x amount.....know that tax will be added....know what your local tax is...
