I think that's just how life goes.

No, a zero sum game of jobs where the number is gradually decreasing is not how "life goes". Never in human history. The difference between today and many centuries ago is that new technological advancements do not supply low-skill jobs. They supply new fields- that require expensive education where you aren't getting paid, and years of study- something a person trying to feed themselves likely can't afford.

This is literally standing in a room set ablaze and saying "What? There's nothing wrong." The problem is evident by its very own nature. Less jobs is a bad thing because it means less opportunity for people to make money. Money is necessary to live. Because it provides food, clothing, and shelter.

For the vast majority of human history, low-skilled jobs or basic trades were abundant and generally supplied you with the resources necessary to live. This is increasingly starting to no longer be the case. How people like you don't see this as a problem boggles the mind. For you, a society built upon student debt is apparently ideal, for some fucking reason, and since you lack any analytical power you just jump on the bandwagon and shit on UBI.

But you go even farther than that by implying that a huge issue that will grip America isn't actually an issue. What a fucking champion, lmao. That's what's so terrible. You don't shit on UBI and provide an alternative, you just say "nah it's not an issue."
