The primary reason is when I was a student, one of my preceptors who is both the clinical director of the hospital pharmacy and the residency coordinator, told me that residencies were pushed too hard initially. He said the pendulum was starting to swing back, so to speak, to the point where a residence isn't an absolute necessity. And I also live in an area where it's not needed anyway. --- ...
