I feel like this is the point that pro-socialism people... um... actually, I don't even think that they don't understand it. I think they understand it just fine but have trouble admitting it. what they really want is not for lunch to be free. what they want is for someone else to pay for their lunch. Right but practically it's free. You don't keep a running tally in your head of everyone you owe a lunch to, maybe just the most recent ones if you're quite nice. This is what I meant about how you really have to get into technicalities and opportunity costs. Anyway this isn't really relevant here, it was just an aside because I hate the idea of "nothing is free".
