what's not expected - or desired - is the level, tenacity, or volume. of course some reaction was expected, hell, it was invited. you just don't expect it to overwhelm, to be viewed as the better part, or for a perimeter to be built which literally divides people. you expect a 2/10, maybe 3/10 reaction, not a 9/10 one. you might expect the location to eventually be found, maybe after some clues are given, not that it'd be found within 24 hours with the only clue being literally just the sky. what's not expected or desired is the flag being stolen (guards came after word went down that people found the location) or for it to be replaced with a MAGA hat and Pepe shirt within 48 hours. any plans that could have existed for it were killed off before anyone else noticed and the only reason anybody knows about it in the first place is because of the work put against it.


and the assault bit ain't misleading either.
shia appeared there, as you said, making a show of it, being a hobo and all.
person asked for his pic, he happily complied because hey, people were interested.
as it got taken, the guy goes "hitler did nothing wrong." and then assault. again, not what he expects. and in fairness, he shouldn't have.
