Lots of LN fan translations have fallen victim to it. But you know what isn't ever affected? WNs. WN and LN are the same thing in spirit, except WN I think runs off of ad revenue and is just a web hosted series. Lots of popular WNs get an LN rewrite, and those are sold as books, which is why they can be licensed like that.
