This is true. They believe in the system that a person has the choice to live in their way. The person must accept the way to live freely however history will show that not all Hindus practiced this thought. For the most part it's true and they have issues with religions that forces the topic. Those being Christian and Muslim to be clear.

Even then, that has very little to do with the faith itself.

Their problem with Muslims from what I can tell stems almost entirely from the fact they've been in bloody land disputes with Muslim countries for centuries.

And their problem with Christians is mostly runoff from British imperialism kicking the shit out of their people for a long time

Those two Abrahamic religions did an excellent job establishing themselves as the Bad Guys of the region, and they get treated accordingly. Not saying it's a good thing, but there's definitely a history of super bad blood
