it does sound scary, it has the possibility of being scary

it's more of a nuisance once you get to know it though

realistically though, you've posted an image of yourself here. unless you blew up like violet beauregarde in that year or two, there's realistically no chance you'd have t2d, and you'd know if you had t1 by now so why you worried about it is a little funny to me

but still, to assuage fears, its bark is a lot, lot louder than its bite these days
