Doesn't matter. You only need one Catholic in the marriage for it to be validated to begin with. Catholics can now marry people from outside of the church as long as the kids are raised Catholic and the marriage is done in the Catholic Church, and that's been true for a long time. Once JD officially converted, his marriage was fine.

Plus, the article actually gives an even tougher scenario than this one because each of the two converts had a previous marriage outside of the church that had to be annulled. That does not apply to JD Vance or his wife, so this is even more of a slam dunk.

Also, nobody will ever convert just so their new church will say they're still living in sin and that their marriage still isn't legit. That makes no logical sense whatsoever.
