Morning bump.

Only oddity on my sample ballot this year is the unopposed GOP/Con family court judge candidate who is a current district judge. He's not cross-endorsed for Dem lines like most judges here are, which is strange. On the bench since 2014 and thriving despite significant physical disabilities. Nothing remarkable about this judge beyond their disability advocacy and maybe excessive bail. I may leave this race blank and continue to never vote Republican. When I was briefly a law clerk 20 or so years ago, I remember how hellish and sad that family court building was. Broken families and broken barely-computerized systems. I can only hope this judge brings an atypical amount of empathy to the job. It's a 10-year term.
