It's great at making you practice and absolute shit for teaching you anything. If you already know the stuff they're going over, it's not terrible as a practice exercise, but if you don't know, Duolingo won't tell you and may give you wrong ideas. The way they structure their questions is also terrible. If I spit out a sentence in the language you're trying to learn and you have absolutely no idea what it says, but the English words below are like Dog My Solar Today To Acorn Took Park The I, and you know two of those words aren't used in the answer, it's not going to take you long to figure out what the answer is even if you don't understand the grammar behind it. That's a shitty way to test people, because it's not actually learning, it's just a word scramble exercise. --- Kill 1 man: You are a murderer. Kill 10 men: You are a monster.
