Why? Its a brilliant film.

I guess while I like it, I think many are better. And some of the things that The Prestige did with its tone and atmosphere, intricate plots and non linear narrative, acting and characters were done better in Inception, Interstellar and Oppenheimer.

I guess for me, I see the potential of his film making skill in The Prestige, but he fully realises it later.

With the exception of Tenet. That's clearly a movie where he had free reign and no one questioned him during the writing, direction or editing.
