Topic	GTA VI - if you aren't getting it. why not?
CRON 09/19/25 3:22:31 PM #5:	I can't afford nor justify the purchase of a new console even if it's for that, and I can't afford to upgrade my PC. Dungeater posted... for me it's because after 5, i dont have confidence in the writing. Dan Houser left to pursue other interests as well. Going off all the leaks so far I wouldn't be surprised if the writing sucks. We're getting a game in 2026 with a script largely finalized in 2022/2023 inspired by 2018-2020 pop culture. Two secondary characters are blatant ripoffs of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion and their names/description on the official site scream "written by a white Gen Xer". I appreciate how they're making an effort to make the game less cynical and angry than GTA V but I can't shake the feeling it's just going to be some "how do you do fellow kids?" bullshit that comes off like bad Prime Video actionslop --- It is what it is, man. <cite>CRON posted [p:986467060] in GTA VI - i...
