Those are their talents for sure and what their unique class focuses in. Although ideal classes for Male Byleth is focusing on Fists and Female Byleth focusing on flying.
But that's a bit try-hardy and for a first run TC should just go with their guts.

I remember getting personally recommended this (well, getting recommended to use Lysithea's Dark Spikes) on my first run too and I really appreciated it. Might contradict what I just said but I did find it fun taking that down on my first run.

If I remember correctly, I think you mentioned that you wanted to kill the The Death Knight which prompted the recommendation. That or it came up because someone said Bernie was bad and that is like the go-to counter argument.

But yeah, in non-Maddening modes there is zero reason to do it beyond personal pride. Like I guess you get an extra Dark Seal but lol Dark Mage, lmao Dark Bishop.
