Are they a sizable portion of NYC voters? Is there verifiably data highlighting their voting records and analysis that it's a problem that needs to be addressed? Are they big enough that it's important enough they all fall in line and not catering to them fully is a mistake? Are they small enough that their vote doesn't matter and thus focusing on them obsessively, more than the moderates that were proven to have gotten Trump elected due to economic reasons, is a mistake? Are they more of a roadblock to Mamdani than said moderates?

I'm trying to understand why this particular fringe group is worth this much mind space where your reddit account is literally nothing but whining about the same three people. Is it because the belief is that margins are so thin but with the online tankie support Democrats would win easily?

That's not how information works when it grabs attention. The goal is to post radical information enough to hit a target that will catch like wild fire. The source or start gets obscurity and the information that was passed gets the highlight. We are in an age of misinformation warfare. It doesn't matter how small the voice of the message as the goal is to have it amplified by bad actors.
