Diagonal pogo starting to feel good. Hunter's march is basically trial by fire for this mechanic

The "by fire" part is what I think everyone has issues with. Its a tutorial stage with no save points and enemies that are, especially for new players, going to drain more HP than you gain Silk from. There is literally no justification for it. An argument can be made, in bad faith, that the mini boss guarding the entrance is an in-universe "beef gate" deterring players from entering the area until they have explored a bit more, at least getting the Dash, but frankly with a save point nearby I did the Soulslike thing and threw myself at it until I got gud. He's not hard, the double mask damage just makes screw ups punishing. Pro tip: Fuck healing, throwing your Needle at him will actually wreck his ass pretty quick. I think everyone is sleeping on that move, its actually REALLY strong being like 5 nail hits worth of damage right now. If you go into him with a full Silk bar, get in 4 hits while he's stancing up, pop his ass with 2 throws, recover your cocoon and pop him with 2 more throws you can 1 cycle him pretty easy. You don't *need* anything to beat him even without cheese, you just gotta dodge well. Meanwhile you ABSOLUTELY without question need the Dash and hover to progress in Hunter's March (btw, if you're Dashing along a floor and jump at a gap you can actually jump WAY further than if you just try to air dash a gap, you can actually skip a lot of the 1 pogo pad gaps this way).

I'm terrible at parry mechanics in any game. I dunno how they even work or what timing to use in this game.

Enemies flash a little at their proper parry timing and it sparks way brighter if you parry correctly. IDK how to do it right, I just know a lot of time spamming Attack at them will work with the obvious punish if it doesn't.

Having slept on it, I'm willing to tone down my criticisms a bit largely due to reading there's a way to disable the trapped bench just before Beast Chapel. You can walk thru the left walk of the bench room and there's just a switch chilling there. Not having to wade thru 5 screens of bullshit before taking another stab at things makes it way less frustrating.

A tip for anyone still struggling with the area: Come back with the hover. Makes it WAY easier to line up your pogos since you can just fucking hover til you're directly in line with the red pads. In fact, this is almost required in Chapel Of The Beast proper where one section has the pads spaced out just a bit further than I felt like was possible to simply jump at. Figuring this out was the key for me getting thru the last couple of pogo puzzle rooms.

I took a couple runs at the boss and honestly I think it might be a noob trap boss. Feels like if you're taking full advantage of Hornet's kit it might not be too bad. Don't forget you can heal in midair, 45 degree angle pogo, dash to escape bad situations, and VERY IMPORTANTLY use the damn Thorn Trap tool to help deal with the adds. I'm considering backtracking to the Docks area to buy the Tool upgrade item there, assuming it does what I think it does (allow you to upgrade Tool damage) because while the kunais you get in the jail kinda suck the thorn traps absolutely ball

If it was about babies we'd have universal maternal care. There would be no charge no matter how complex the delivery. But its not about babies, is it?
