There was a 1990 British TV show called "Heil Honey, I'm Home!" about Hitler and Eva living next door to a Jewish couple. They actually made eight episodes, but only the first one ever made it to air before the show was cancelled.
Something similar happened in the US in the early 2000s. Totally different show plot but it was also, like what you mentioned, a show that got canceled after 1 episode. Called Bob, The Devil and God. A guy named Bob becomes friends with both God and the Devil and they just hang out each episode. A full season was made but only the pilot originally aired. I forget on what channel. The full season finally aired on adult swim like a decade later. Funny thing is the show actually kinda taught Christian values each episode. The Devil was there but he was never allowed to win really and each episode usually had some lesson behind it. But Christians screeched and ranted about the show and forced the network to cancel it. I don't think the complainers ever even watched it.

Oh yea, forgot to mention it was animated
