I do remember initially being very upset with the ending because I went in blind like I always at least attempt to do, only to find Miles' story ended on the biggest cliffhanger; but eventually, after realizing that this was indeed Gwen's story about finding her place in the Spiderverse, I eventually softened on it. Resolving things with her dad was a fine and very sweet conclusion to the film, if not for the trilogy. Speaking of which, the absolute balls Sony Animation had to even think for a second Beyond the Spider-Verse was coming out in 2024 pissed me off even more. Still a great movie though. My heart will always have a bigger home for the first movie, but this was a fine sequel.
