ai123 08/22/25 4:18:39 AM #13: | In the UK, 'city' is an official designation. It used to be that a place had to have a cathedral to be a city, but now they just need a Royal Charter. I reckon the various founders of US cities used the word because they wanted the settlement to be recognised as big and important from the start. --- 'Vinyl is the poor man's art collection'.
