They felt like continuing updates would just annoy people because all they'd really be able to say is they were still working on it.

I actually think that is the smarter decision. Whenever it comes to other games or even books people get pissed when there are updates that just amount to a bunch of nonsense fluff words that boils down to Its not done, still working on it. People here get incensed and are like STFU I dont want to hear anything until there is a release

Especially if you over update people or have a delay. You are better off just bring radio silent like this until they are like Its out in 2 weeks
