Oh yeah, I even briefly made it on the news. Happened in 2nd grade.

I stayed in the library too long after school playing Oregon Trail and missed my bus, and when I went in the office no one was there, so I decided to walk home. It wasn't that far and I knew the route, so it should have been easy, but I chose to take a "shortcut" and ended up hopping a fence and going off base.

I wandered around and had enough knowledge from driving around with the family to get to various places so I went to the mall. Eventually ended up walking up to one of the gates to the base, specifically the closest to our house, at like 9PM, and as I got close a cop rolled up and that was the end of my little adventure.

That cop was a dick though, for some reason he told my parents I had a map on me and that convinced them I was planning to run away. I didn't have a map but they didn't believe me.
