If November was any typical pre-2016 election, yeah, blame Democrats for not doing a good enough job, that's fine. But last November was not a typical election by any stretch, which is why blaming Democrats 100% on how it went down is ridiculous. We counted on people to not be stupid and vote the wrong way, and they let us down. Whose fault is that?
That's the part that's so frustrating. I can't fault Democrats for not throwing money at the problem because they did, swing states specifically. The question is did they spend that money the wrong way or is it a lost cause? If it's the latter then it truly doesn't matter what they do, which is probably not what the takeaway should be. That's why some choose to believe it's something the Democrats are doing wrong rather than complete and utter hopelessness.
