He seems to be a pretty chill guy who wouldn't give you shit for going someplace that wasn't vegan friendly, but if you're the type to feel guilty about that, it's something to consider. I would totally feel guilty. That said, I enjoy trying new food, and I bet he knows some really good vegan places to go. So I would ask him to recommend a place and we could just talk about whatever.
