I live in Chicago and Lollapalooza week is always my summer vacation week, can't imagine why anybody over the age of 20 goes to it anymore.Though most of the music there isn't my vibe anymore and generally prefer rock acts, I live on a sparsely populated island with a 15k capacity as our biggest venue and only for a couple days in the summer, 7k otherwise. Large acts don't come here, festivals are generally a great value, and I can generally find enough undercard to enjoy myself as long as I want to see one headliner. In this scenario it's a free trip, so I can deal with meh acts for that. The fascist idiot in charge notwithstanding, none of the big festivals had many draws for me this year, so we're instead heading to Toronto to see Nine Inch Nails, Oasis, The Who, and System of a Down. ...
