| Topic | Israel - Iran conflicts (second thread) |
| LightSnake 06/15/25 11:47:45 AM #86: | UnfairRepresent posted... He says while unironically arguing aggressively what the people of Iran and Israel think. October 7 was planned with Iran and executed with Iranian support. Immediately afte, Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy group that takes its orders from Tehran, began to fire rockets at northern Israel with a stated intent to destroy the country. I repeat: Not entirely sure one can call the Israeli strikespreemptive when Iran has spent the past 40 years loudly declaring its intention to destroy the country while pouring billions into building up paramilitaries which, when not too busy butchering Arabs, fire rockets at Tel Aviv. Israel's own propaganda hasn't even denied it was a pre-emptive strike Iran was not expecting or prepared for. Iran being wholly unprepared to finally get a little back isn't anyone's problem but Iran's. How can you in the same breath do that and then claim Ali Khamenei is dragging Iran into war? It's a total non-sequitur. Going "But what about their machinations in Yemen!?" is just changing the subject. Oh, gee. I wonder if there might be consequences after a point of Khamenei constantly funding wars across the middle east and constantly using proxies to attack other nations. Iran's Little Birthday Boy routine wore thin about ten years ago. And no, it really isn't when Iran uses those proxies to attack other nations before claiming victimhood. --- Ring the bells that still can ring/Forget your perfect offering/There is a crack in everything/That's how the light gets in."- RIP, Leonard Cohen ...
