Financing a house is a place to live and can build wealth. Financing a car helps you get and maintain higher paying jobs. Financing a game console doesn't build anything. On top of that, Affirm/Klarna or other Buy Now Pay Later apps don't have a positive effect on your credit and can only hurt your credit. This is because they are not regulated like regular loans and do not need to report that you've made payments on time.
